Fellows chosen in inaugural Roma Holocaust Voices Fellowship
The Fortunoff Archive and the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) have announced the recipients of the Roma Holocaust Voices Fellowship, an important step toward preserving Roma and Sinti historical memory.
Congratulations to Transcription Fellowship awardees Sára Danielová and Michal Mižigár; Translation Fellowship awardees Melinda Vajda, Bc. Iveta Kokyová; and Creative Projects Fellowship awardees Florian Tacorian, David Tišer, Alen Umer.
Launched in commemoration of the International Roma Holocaust Remembrance Day, this fellowship initiative supports essential work in transcription, translation, and creative projects that highlight the testimonies of Roma and Sinti survivors of the Holocaust.
These fellows will work over the next six months to bring these testimonies to broader audiences through publications, educational materials, artistic works, and more. By preserving, transcribing, and creatively interpreting these testimonies, this year’s fellows will contribute to both Holocaust remembrance and Roma historical awareness.
