Welcome Ambrus Hernádi, Laurel Fox Vlock Fellow 2025
Welcome Ambrus Hernádi, our 2025 Laurel Fox Vlock Fellow. Hernádi is a filmmaker from Budapest, Hungary. After earning an MA in Film Studies, he worked as a Camera Assistant on various narrative features before transitioning to documentary filmmaking. He has created documentary shorts for independent productions, online journals, and NGOs. He completed a Documentary Studies program at The New School in New York City, and teaches Film Production at Brandeis University.
Hernádi will work with Fortunoff Fellow Julie Dawson to produce a film about the expropriation and persecution of Viennese Jewry. The film will be screened as part of an installation at the Vienna Freud Museum in fall 2025.
