Fortunoff Video Archive and EHRI Announce New Fellowship Partnership
The Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies at Yale University Library has entered into a renewed cooperation agreement with the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI), building on a longstanding partnership between the two organizations.
The agreement is part of EHRI’s broader expansion of partnerships in 2026, which also includes the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Argentina’s National Interuniversity Council (CIN).
Fortunoff has been a data provider to EHRI for many years, and detailed descriptions of its collection are available through the EHRI Portal. The two organizations have also collaborated on a variety of events and activities.
An important short-term outcome of the renewed cooperation will be the launch of an innovative Fortunoff-EHRI Fellowship scheme, which will be running parallel to the EHRI CK Fellowship Programme. In the proposed Fortunoff-EHRI Fellowship scheme, European early-career researchers will be provided with a year-long stiped to undertake research on testimonies. The first call for this new fellowship opportunity is expected in 2027.
