Joanne W. Rudof honored at Lessons and Legacies XV

By Stephen Naron - November 9, 2018

Joanne W. Rudof, who led the Fortunoff Video Archive for over 30 years, was honored for her many contributions to the field of Holocaust studies last weekend at the fifteenth Lessons and Legacies conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

She is pictured here with Professor Lawrence Langer and Debra Bush, who worked with Joanne at the Fortunoff Video Archive for 28 years and is celebrating her 40th anniversary at Yale University this year.

Lessons and Legacies is one of the most important international conferences in Holocaust studies. Joanne remains a beloved member of the research community represented at Lessons and Legacies and is held in the highest esteem by scholars from around the world -- many of whom have benefited from her expertise and unparalleled knowledge of the Fortunoff Video Archive's collection.

It was a very touching ceremony and well-deserved recognition of Joanne's commitment to the survivor community, scholarship and the Fortunoff Video Archive.
