Welcome Carli Snyder, Dori Laub Fellow 2023-2024
Carli Snyder is a PhD Candidate in History at the City University of New York Graduate Center. Her dissertation project, “‘The Flesh of the Facts’: Toward a Feminist Holocaust Consciousness,” examines the political and intellectual dimensions of feminist approaches to Holocaust studies as they developed between the 1970s and early 2000s, with particular emphasis on the work and contributions of Joan Ringelheim. Snyder was awarded the 2023-2024 Manya Friedman Memorial Fellowship at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. She recently completed a Robert J. Katz Research Fellowship in Genocide Studies at the University of Southern California Center for Advanced Genocide Research and Shoah Foundation in January 2023. Her research has also been funded by grants from the Schlesinger Library at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study of Harvard University and the Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University.
